What if you really really loved yourself and
you stopped beating yourself up?
Think how (and don't take this the wrong way),
everyone around you would be much happier?!
What if lollygagging at least half of the time
is what it's all about?
Could you love yourself better?
The thing is,
you are beautiful, wonderful and lovely,
just as you are today.
Tomorrow too.
After watching a young girl staring up into this tree the night before this shot was taken,
and then hearing all kinds of wonderful owl sounds
coming and going,
I spied this pair of owl "babies"
in the hollow of a tall tree.
One of them trying to sleep,
and the other trying to make sense of me,
on a rainy morning
in St. Augustine.
This bit of springtime magic is…
at the end of this,
and in a few weeks…
it will unfold into that!
We do that too,
but it takes a lot longer
to come into our magnificence.
At least for me it did, does…
Easily entertained,
the shadow of the gas pump
is projected far into the street
and seems fantastic!

It's the season for huge blossoms on our azaleas.
Some years are better than others,
but this year is up there with the best.

If you came to St. Augustine Beach to surf on your Spring break,
today was a very good day!
I knew when I got out of the car to walk on the beach in my sweater and jeans,
that I would have to face the Spring Breakers in their bikinis.
Well, the wet suits were out too!
Beautiful waves and sunshine too!
(I was still glad that I had my sweater on,
even though the water was delightful on my feet!)

The Cedar Waxwings are coming through St. Augustine again.
I tried to warn them about the weather up North,
but they probably already know!
