Thumbing through a thoroughly researched book on caterpillars by David L. Wagner, I find words I have never met before that are almost poetic.

A Story:

A cryptically colored caterpillar walked into a bar to join her friends. They feasted on green leaves of many stripes and sizes and unique drinks made with the combined nectar of a variety of flowers.

The Lepidopteris was is a corner arguing with his best friend about how to pronounce Lepidopteris – an argument neither of them could win.

The loopers and geometers were learning how to dance to the beat of crickets and cicadas and were soon joined by the others.

A typical evening at the Lotus Juice Bar and Grill on Eden Street. Something for everyone!

Photo of the cocoon of a Sulphur Butterfly suspended in a Cassia Plant. After 3 weeks there was very little change.
