The first guess what this is was a detail of this shot of an Anhinga in the Everglades, Florida.

Here is another shot of the same creature to get a better perspective…

    David sunrise 07.2015

Thanks to David Gardner, our resident morning person for sharing his sunrise photographs.

This stunner is from yesterday, July 7th, 2015.

    Wish I had been there!

When I spotted this spider weaving her web, there were only two rows completed.

By the time the camera came out,

    voila!

    Spider 07.02

    Spider 07.02

She would take one leg and latch onto the strand that was to receive the new link,

and another leg would deliver that new link all the while she was walking

    and probably talking to herself,

never mind where the silk is coming from.

A work of art in a matter of minutes,

and then swaying in the wind that comes with the afternoon storms,

showing the strength of her work as well as the beauty.

(And that's the spider that I didn't know which end was top and bottom.

    Well, I know now!)

Laine (me, I) has begun to set up in the Historic Market in the Plaza de la Constitution in St. Augustine.

On Sale are photos of St. Augustine and from my travels near and far.

This is a month to month commitment, so stay posted for next month's news.

I'll be there Saturday this week, July 4th and next Saturday as well, July 11th.

Also, I have developed some prints from my favorite blog posts and here is a sample of that!

    And Drum Roll please…

    Laine's new artistic venue,

    painting on silk scarves.

Always a friend of the silk scarf and bandana, this was an easy transition to make.

Here is a sample of the first crop, hanging on the line to dry.

Wish me luck and maybe I will see you there!
