Is that a little flying saucer that landed in the hollow of my tree?

Standing in line at the Winn Dixie one morning,

someone said something that stayed with me…

It went something like this in response to another person apologizing for taking so long…

If I was in a hurry, I would have gotten here earlier…

    I liked that.

Once in awhile, we do hurry, but it is all the same in the end, isn't it?

A minute here and a minute there.

    As Rumi says,

We are all going through the same gate.

Egret in a great hurry! Or so I imagine in St. Augustine, Florida!

Did you know that the brain of the octopus is unlike anything else on the planet?

Octopuses are among the most intelligent and behaviorally flexible of all invertebrates.

     Well, in defense of humans,

we do sculpt things in the sand.

    We might be smarter.

    On the other hand…

    we might not be smarter.

    But we might be.

Gravity, according to Webster, is the force of attraction

by which terrestrial bodies tend to fall toward the

Tilting the camera, does not affect the effect of gravity,

but it might make you dizzy!

What do you do when your destination is just over there,

but there is a downpour of rain so fierce that if you stepped out for a moment you would be drenched,

and a river is forming between you and your destination,

and your umbrella is safe and dry at home?

The first shot is the Lightner Museum, home also to St. Augustine City offices, through the rain streaked window. The second photo is through the windshield, looking toward Flagler Auditorium and the third is potential shelter in an ice cream shop so close, but so far away!

You can see the Lightner reflected in the shop window, or is it the Casa Monica?

Once the rain let up some, I carried my shoes with me across the street and got my business done in no time thanks to the friendly people there.
