The sea oats are greening up again.
There was a chorus of frogs in the marsh as I drove by,
praising the rain.
Summer's in full swing.
St. Augustine Beach.

Heat lightening,
silent and beautiful.
Thunder followed, but no rain,
not the first night.
The rain came the second night,
finally.
The heat lightening looked a little like this, lighting up the clouds from within but with slashes of lightening bolts every now and then.
This shot was taken during the day, but darkened to look like night.

Shading the afternoon sun.
Still hot in the shade
Hammock waits for evening breeze.
A dip in the ocean was just the ticket!

Friends, paddling along together through life's currents.
It's a calm evening and mild in between the storms and troubles.
There's peace and quiet and a kind of welcome ordinariness,
a rightness about things.

Water, the most yielding and the strongest of nature's wonders,
is a chameleon.
Reflecting the sky, it is all kinds of blue.
(all the bumps in the shot are turtles!)
