the lights are lit,
the season officially begins.
But first,
let's give Thanks,
not just on Thursday,
but all week,
and the next week,
and then the next week.

as the pelicans surf through wave after wave after wave,
on their way to where?
The next wave, the next fish, a good night's sleep?
Who really knows?
But these playful birds are definitely onto something!

Perhaps when we feel alone and fearful,

Angels have been part of our imagination for a long, long time.
Maybe there is a reason for that?
At best there is some comfort
in believing that we are all being looked after somehow,
by beautiful, benevolent, winged angels!
