    Shadow-ofpassflwr-

What to do with the unlovable parts of ourselves?

Try as we might, we can't run away or separate ourselves from our shadows.

What happens if we sit and stay, like a good dog that wants to jumpandrunaround so badly,

but we sit and we stay, and we don't look away?

The poets say that's when the light gets in.

    And it's true.

If we can love ourselves in our worst moments, then we are that much closer to just about everyone on the planet.

Our compassion shines through the dark.

We love more and judge less.

    Dark-Sky

If you're having one of those days, (weeks, months),

try to sit and to stay long enough for the light to find you,

and believe that you are equal to the best of us.

And don't forget to ask for help from your favorite

    "other"-

    whether it's the angels,

    your higher self,

    or your God.

    It can't hurt!

    We need you back here.

Who doesn't like staring into a warm fire on a cold night?

Drawn into the magic of dancing light and heat and the crackling sounds,

it is difficult to concentrate on the conversations around you,

and the one in your head is more like a dream –

a dream that humans have been having for thousands of years –

    restfulness, safety, peace, warmth.

    Winter dreams…

    Human dreams…

    A fog rolls in,

escorting the cooler air along the beach –

    some colder days ahead,

and then back into the 60's or 70's.

Up North, you kind of have to settle into winter,

    honker down,

    but here,

    in Northeast Florida,

you can rest easy knowing that the cold days will come,

    but they will go too,

    probably within the week!

    Go slow! blog

Once again, it is that time of year when people are driving really really badly.

    So,

    go slow,

    pay attention

    and

watch out for the other guy.

    For whatever reason,

she/he is having a really bad day,

is in a really big hurry,

    and stressed about something.

    Take care,

    beware…

    Plane blog blog2

A lot of people will be traveling over the coming weeks,

    going home.

    Where is home?

Is it where you spent your childhood?

Or where you choose to live?

    Is home a moveable feast?

Do we carry it within us?

Is it a place we cherish or a person we love?

Is it all of these things?

A place, a person, where you've been and where you're going

and where you are right now?

The heart and soul of home

    seem to be everywhere!

Dramatic skies as the storm is blown off shore.

    Time soon for some sunshine

    and smiles.

enjoy the beauty that they contain,

and rest easy knowing that they will pass,

    Trumpet-Flower

Angel's Trumpets, that's what these magnificent flowers are called.

This is the week that our attention goes to giving thanks and we turn our thoughts to sharing –

our love, friendship, time, food and drink.

It's a time to be gentle with each other,

to recognize our fellow travelers on this journey called life and be grateful.

And maybe we should keep an ear out for the tender sound of angel's trumpets.

Once invited, the angels can't say no!
