The guy who was flying this kite must have the soul of a bird.
He could make it hover inches above the sand and water,
only to bring it soaring into the sky with a wave of his magic wand.
Kite and sunset, St. Augustine Beach.
At the end of the day.
The end of a world.
The end of a life.
Doors close.
Chapters end.
And then it begins again.
The sea oats

will be back in the spring.
The sun that sets
rises again.
The mystery is solved in 533 pages,
yet some things

Sea oats and sunset with painterly effect, St. Augustine Beach.
If you notice, there is a flock of geese against the sunset sky,
heading, South.
They seem to be ahead of schedule, but they know better than I do,
when to move to warmer climes.
(I thought they were turned around and going North,
but it was me who was turned around, often confusing North and South.
I know, with the ocean right behind me…DUH!)
This is the sunset photograph under the "499" from last week.
Here is the Surfer shot that was superimposed over this photo. It is a little fuzzy, as the shutter speed was slow, 1/5th second!
The guys were sweet, giving me the thumbs up as they realized that their picture was being taken.
