A Little Tribute To
THE BEATLES
Do you want to know a secret?
I want to tell you.
Here, there, and everywhere
Across the universe,
Your mother should know,
It's only love.
Wait -
All you need is love.
Oh Darling,
Golden slumbers,
Goodnight.
Song titles from the assorted collection of Beatles' albums, including: Introducing the Beatles, Revolver, Rubber Soul, Magical Mystery Tour, Abbey Road, Let It Be, The White Album.
A funny thing happened when I got to the beach this evening.
There were quite a few sea gulls soaking up the last rays of sunlight over there,
and when I reached into my bag to get a camera to take a shot of the sky blending with the horizon,
all of the gulls and their cousins and their cousins flew over to me.
I was surrounded and they were really close and looking me right in the eye.
I explained to them that it was just a camera, and not food,
but they did not believe me.
So I took photos of them and chatted a bit and took more photos.
Finally, I walked the rest of the way to the water's edge,
and they followed me!
All of them,
walking behind me and beside me and some of them flying.
IT WAS WONDERFUL!
I felt like the Pied Piper.
Eventually they went their own way,
but the magic that they had bestowed on me had already taken hold
and I was just plain stupid happy!
On my way back along the beach, someone came along who looked a little like me,
(even if it was a guy)
and sure enough he had a bag of food for my new best friends.
So everyone was happy –
including the surfers!
St. Augustine Beach. Sky meets water meets surfer!
The sun came back and warmed our hearts and toes!
Where have you been?
We've missed you!
Yes, of course, you were there all along,
it was those pesky clouds blocking the view and the heat.
They're gone now and it's warm and lovely.
Thank you!
Last night's sunset at St. Augustine Beach. Still some little bit of fog near the water, but the sun came through.
Nods to the North, as I know it is all relative, and we are a little spoiled here!
Have you done something impossible recently?
You must have, because this was in the sky,
just the other night.
The sky does not lie.
