After a rainy, chilly Saturday,
the sun is deciding whether or not to come out
just before it sets.
It did,
and the clouds moved on,
and Sunday was a beautiful warm sunny day!

Although the expected order of things
is that the adults in the world guide and teach the children
how to become happy and healthy adults,
there is a school of thought that claims
that the children are here to teach us
how to be happy and healthy adults.
Looking at this another way,
perhaps the children are here to correct our misguided adultness.
It couldn't hurt!

Poker with the girls last night (not pictured here!),
and you know you're in good company when you offer to lose
just to balance things out and the dealer says,
"Oh, no, we'll pick your pockets clean next time, don't worry!"
The yin and yang of life.

and it feels really good!

How much can we trust each other?
You and me,
and the stranger who made these wonderful lattés?
More than we give ourselves credit for,
I think.
How many bridges do you go over without worrying whether or not they will support you and your car?
How many roads travelled, with sign posts and traffic signals,
that a stranger has placed there for your safety?
Perhaps it is easier to take some things for granted and worry about others,
but maybe we need to trust the people we know a little more,
or at least as much as we trust the unknown, invisible people who support our world!
The latté was wonderful,
and I didn't die!
