Primitive anxieties in a "modern" world.

Simpler when you can see the predator,

and not some elusive shadow from the past.

    How to cope?

    Trust what you have learned,

    what you know is true.

    Wait it out.

Look around you and believe what you see,

    not what you feel.

    And when you are ready,

    lean on a friend.

The other day at the beach,

there was a pelican sitting in the water minding her own business,

who would stretch her long neck and reach into the water.

Then she would point her beak up to the sky revealing a full gullet,

swallow and go on minding her own business.

When a wave threatened her, would she rise into the air,

only to return again on top of the sea and wait,

    and not long,

as there must have been a lot of fish in those waves.

    What great names,

and loved enough for family or friends to immortalize them on the Fishing pier at Flagler Beach,

or at least as long as the pier lasts!

    Cine dream02.07

Sometimes in our lives we have dreams that aren't going to come true.

These dreams sustain us and inspire us for years,

until one day we wake up and know it is a dream,

    and just a dream.

Maybe next lifetime we'll get the skill set needed to realize our unmet dreams,

or we'll dream new dreams for our new life.

    Who knows?

    Either way, keep dreaming!

    Venus is the brightest star.

    Mars is just above.

Tonight Mars will move closer to Venus,

but the moon will be farther away.
