not even bothered by the tourists on the boardwalk snapping photos.
Maybe we humans are just tourists on this planet.
We seem to have organized ourselves in very strange and self defeating ways.

Maybe we should ask “What have we done right, and stay on that path”? Congress has asked Cheney to come and help with the current tax laws…REALLY? How can all this be happening. I was talking to a teacher friend of mine yesterday. She said two of her students in one of the poorest school districts in my cummunity set up a summer program to keep feeding lunch to her students. Ages are 7 and 10, they ride there bikes seven miles to have the one and only hot meal that they will get that day. Why isn’t congress talking about children in the good old USA having issues with not getting enough to eat and when they are given food in the school districts of America the food has no good nutrition to it? Organic DOG food has more proper nutrition than the food that is served to the children in most school districts in this country…

Hi Barb, I like your anger and your good advice – to focus on what is working and who is doing it. In this political(corporate) climate, the solutions won’t come from politicians, but from all of us helping each other and loving each other. Politicians are on the verge of making themselves obsolete…one can hope! Thanks for the thoughtful comment…

Wow! Well put, Laine! You’re a much better at expressing what you are trying to say in writing!:) It seems(including me) people are afraid to really get out there to voice their opinions…Really stir up the S… so to speak! I guess I don’t know which issue to express, there are so many issues that are really affecting our world right now.In the 70s and 80s it was war/nukes. Now it’s food, working at Mcdonalds when you have a Masters, and if you’re 49 years old the company you just applied to is going to hire that 24 year old with NO expirence because they are afraid the 49 year old might get sick so then their medical premiums will be raised or they might be dropped completely. Oh ya, let’s not forget the kids, and teachers. What you get with the rich is what’s the problem with kids and teachers? (So that would be my point)What’s the problem…If you have to ask then you’re the problem. Sometimes I am the problem too:(

Uh, focus on what is right?!!! You will feel much better and know that any small or large bit of generosity is an act of rebellion and works to improve our world. Channel that anger and make love not war! Or as a Magic Hat beer cap stated, “MAKE LOVE, NOT PROCESSED FOOD.”
